Are all electrical contractors alike?

The short answer is no. If you want the long answer, keep reading.

You can look at the electrical industry in the same fashion as looking at medical doctors. There all types of doctors in the world and these doctors specialize in certain fields and they become experts in that chosen field. For example: you wouldn’t see a podiatrist performing heart surgery.

The same holds true with electrical contractors. Most electrical contractors specialize in one or two fields.

Before you hire an electrical contractor, do a little research.

See if they specialize in residential service.

Check their online reviews.

You don’t want a commercial electrician working in your home if he specializes in commercial installations. We have seen many times commercial companies get slow and will try to find ways to keep their guys busy until the next big job.

There is a big difference between a new residential electrician and a service electrician. Many residential electricians can install new electrical work but can’t fix it when it’s broke.

Troubleshooting and electrical repairs is one of the hardest aspects of electrical work. A good service electrical contractor specializes in residential service and repair. They’ll offer a full range of electrical services, and they’ll make their services available at a fair price.

It’s also important to know who is working in your home. Is the electrician licensed and bonded? Have they been thoroughly background checked and drug free? In today’s world you can never be too careful.

You will get nothing but the best with Power Trip Electric. We are so confident in our work, that we provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of the electrical work. Not only does this protect you but it’s also a statement of the type of excellent service you […]
